Caitlin is a founding partner of Reconstruct LLP and a strategic advisor for clients navigating liquidity crises and commercial distress. Trained at two of Canada’s premier national firms, her practice focuses on the technical execution of reorganizations and multi-jurisdictional proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. She is particularly recognized for her work in high-growth, volatile sectors where she implements creative legal structures to stabilize entities and preserve enterprise value.

Caitlin is sought out for mandates requiring immediate action and a command of insolvency law allowing her to structure complex transactions in real time. She represents a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including debtor corporations, lenders, and court-appointed officers. She is known for her ability to strategize several steps ahead of a transaction, ensuring her clients maintain a tactical advantage in negotiations.

Caitlin advises boards and management on fiduciary duties and liability exposure during restructuring and commercial distress. She provides counsel on the mitigation of D&O risk and personal liability for leadership navigating insolvency proceedings.

Before co-founding the firm, Caitlin practiced at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP and McMillan LLP. She is a recipient of the Lexpert Rising Star award and is consistently recognized by Chambers and Partners as a leader in restructuring and insolvency. She is called to the bar in both Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Outside of the office, Caitlin is a trained equestrian who competes in show jumping events across Ontario.
