Gabrielle Schachter — Associate
Gaby is a commercial and restructuring litigator at Reconstruct LLP. Her broad practice includes commercial and business disputes and formal restructuring proceedings, where she provides the legal and evidentiary analysis to help clients advance their complex commercial proceedings.
Before joining RECON, Gaby practiced in the litigation department at McCarthy Tétrault LLP. Her background in high-intensity commercial and professional liability litigation informs her approach to file management. Gaby prioritizes commercial results, decisive strategy, and the precise distillation of complex legal issues into assertive and effective advocacy.
Gaby works with clients across various industries, including cannabis, retail, mining, and technology. Her clients include private equity firms, lenders, debtors, and court officers. Gaby has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal. She has advised on and briefed matters for clients bringing applications before the Supreme Court of Canada.
