Simran Joshi — Associate
Simran is a restructuring lawyer focusing on corporate restructuring and transaction advisory. She brings a thoughtful, integrated approach to complex insolvency matters and transactions, drawing on strong practical transaction management and commercial negotiation skills to help clients navigate sophisticated transactions effectively.
She represents a broad range of clients, including debtor companies, court-appointed officers, directors and officers, DIP lenders, purchasers, creditors, and other stakeholders. Simran is trusted to assist on sophisticated mandates involving competing interests, urgent timelines, and complex legal and commercial considerations.
Simran has authored various articles on insolvency-related topics and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation. Her growing reputation in the field has earned exceptional recognition at an early stage in her career, including recognition as an Associate to Watch in Restructuring/Insolvency by Chambers and Partners Canada 2026.
Simran joined Reconstruct LLP as an associate after completing her articles with the firm, where she quickly distinguished herself through her assertive approach and strong work ethic.
During law school, Simran received numerous awards recognizing both academic excellence and community leadership, including the Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt Diverse Scholars Award, the Insolvency Institute of Canada Prize in Insolvency Studies, and the SABA Student Recognition Award.
